Bothell Jail Mugshots Access
Bothell jail mugshots come from two county systems. The city spans both King and Snohomish counties, so arrests by Bothell Police can be booked into either the King County Jail or the Snohomish County Jail. That means you may need to check two rosters to find a booking photo. This page shows you where to look, how to file a police records request with Bothell PD, and how the court records rule differs. Bothell Jail Mugshots Overview
Bothell is a split-jurisdiction city. Most of it is in King County and the north part is in Snohomish County. The Bothell Police Department covers the whole city. It is at 18410 104th Avenue NE and the business line is 425-486-1254. Non-emergency dispatch is 425-577-5656. When Bothell officers arrest someone, the booking jail depends on where the arrest happened. King County side arrests go to the King County Jail. Snohomish County side arrests usually go to the Snohomish County Jail in Everett.
Booking photos are taken at whichever facility handles the case. Both counties run their own online jail rosters, so searching for a Bothell arrest may mean checking both. The Bothell Police Department handles the arrest side and the records side. Police policies are posted online for transparency.
Court records follow a different rule than police records.
Bothell Police Records Requests
Bothell accepts public police records requests through the Bothell Police Records page. You may be required to pick up a report in person and show a photo ID. The basic fee for a report is $0.15 per page. If you are the victim of a crime, or an involved party in a traffic crash, there is no charge. For questions, contact the Public Records Specialist at 425-487-5120.
The city uses the Washington Public Records Act at RCW 42.56, along with other state code sections and case law, to decide what can be released. Copies of collision reports are available to involved parties, and a case number helps staff find the report faster. Criminal history checks are a separate process handled by the Washington State Patrol, not the city.
Note: Bothell Municipal Court records are not subject to the Public Records Act and must be requested directly from the court under Washington State Court General Rules 31 and 31.1.
King County Side Bookings
For the King County side of Bothell, use the King County Jail inmate lookup. The tool lists Bothell arrestees booked on the King County side. You can search by name to find booking details, charges, bail, and release info. The online roster updates several times per day. Bothell arrestees may be housed at the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle or the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent. The lookup is free and does not require registration.
The image below shows the King County Sheriff's Office page that hosts the inmate search and related tools.
The King County system is where you start for any Bothell arrest south of the county line.
Snohomish County Side Bookings
For the north side of Bothell, use the Snohomish County Jail Register. The register includes inmates from Bothell arrests on the Snohomish County side. You can search by name or view recent bookings and releases. The register updates throughout the day. Bail info is included on the inmate detail pages. Contact the Snohomish County Jail at 360-805-3300 for inmate inquiries. Jail registers are public under RCW 70.48.100.
Because Bothell straddles two counties, a full search may hit two different sites. Start with the county where the arrest happened, if you know it. If not, try both. Names often appear in only one system. Criminal history data for any Washington arrest is ruled by RCW 10.97.
How to Find a Bothell Arrest
Use this quick checklist for Bothell booking records:
- King County inmate lookup for south-side arrests
- Snohomish County jail register for north-side arrests
- Bothell Police records request for the full report
- Bothell Municipal Court for court records under GR 31
- VINELink for release and transfer alerts
Each tool serves a different purpose. No single search covers every Bothell case.
Bothell Municipal Court Records
Bothell Municipal Court records are handled a bit differently from police records. They fall under General Rule 31, not the Public Records Act. Requestors must ask the court directly. If a request for court records comes in to other city staff or through the city records portal, the requestor is told to go to the court. The court handles misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases filed in Bothell.
Arrest records from the police side are different. Those stay under RCW 42.56 and go through the city records unit. So the same incident might have two different request paths: one for the police report, one for the court file.
Note: Bothell Police report fees are waived for crime victims and collision-involved parties, which can save you money on your request.
