Find Kirkland Jail Mugshots
Kirkland jail mugshots come from arrests made by the Kirkland Police Department and booked into the King County Jail system. Kirkland does not run its own long-term jail. People picked up by Kirkland officers are taken either to the main King County Correctional Facility in downtown Seattle or the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent. Both jails share one online inmate lookup. This page shows you the right tools to search Kirkland booking records, how to request body-worn camera footage and incident reports, and where to find the Kirkland Police records portal online.

How to Search Kirkland Inmate Records
The King County Jail inmate lookup is the main tool. Enter a last name and the system returns a list of matches with booking details. It shows charges, bail, and release info. The roster updates several times per day. It is free. You do not need to sign up.
Kirkland arrestees can be at either King County facility. The lookup searches both at once. For ongoing status alerts, use VINELink. VINE sends email or text alerts when the inmate is released, moved, or returned to custody. Register once with the booking info and you get updates until the case ends.
To find a Kirkland booking you typically need:
- Last name of the inmate
- First name or date of birth
- Rough booking date if you know it
Kirkland Municipal Court handles city misdemeanor cases. There is no separate online case search for that court. For related charges, you can also check King County District Court East Division in Redmond. Use the Washington Courts case search to find open and closed cases statewide.
Kirkland Public Records Portal
The City of Kirkland Public Records portal is the central place to request arrest reports, police incident files, and body-worn camera video.
The portal gives tracking numbers and a timeline so you can follow your Kirkland arrest record request online.
Kirkland Arrest Records Requests
Police records can be requested directly from Kirkland PD at 11750 NE 118th St, Kirkland, WA 98034, phone 425-587-3400, email policepdr@kirklandwa.gov. You can also use the city-wide portal run by the City Clerk's office at 123 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland, WA 98033, phone 425-587-3190. The records officer is reached at PublicRecords@kirklandwa.gov.
Kirkland's fee schedule is set by city code. Photocopies are $0.15 per page. Scans are $0.10 per page. Electronic files are $0.05 per four files. Electronic transfer is $0.10 per gigabyte. A $5.00 minimum applies for each certified record. The city responds within five business days under RCW 42.56.520.
Body-worn camera video has extra fees. Redaction is charged at $0.84 per minute of video. If the total estimated cost is over $50, the city may ask for a 10% deposit. Exempt requesters do not pay redaction fees under RCW 42.56.240(14)(e). That covers the person in the video, their attorney, and civil rights attorneys.
A body-worn camera request must include the name of the person involved, the case or incident number, the date, time, and location, and any info identifying the officers. The more details you give, the easier it is for staff to find the file.
Requests sent through Kirkland's social media channels are not processed as formal public records requests, so use the portal or email instead.

For a statewide criminal record, use the WATCH system run by the Washington State Patrol. It charges a small fee per search. It shows conviction data statewide and can fill in the gaps left by a single-city lookup. Use WATCH plus the King County jail roster for a fuller picture.
Note: Kirkland publishes a police use-of-force dashboard online, so you can see department-level stats in addition to any single booking record.
